Rev. Richard Baker Sr.
Richard Baker accepted the position as Lead Pastor of Grace Point Church in September 2015, bringing with him over 35 years of full time ministry experience. He has served as youth leader, evangelist, associate pastor, senior pastor, and missionary. He has also supervised and coordinated disaster relief and humanitarian efforts worldwide for the Church of God, served as executive director of a private humanitarian foundation, and as COO of Serving Orphans Worldwide (a non-profit serving more than 40 orphanages worldwide).
Although Pastor Baker was enrolled in external studies through Lee University, and received his chaplaincy certificate from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, his greatest education has come from the diversity of ministry the Lord has afforded him.
Brother Baker has been given the wonderful opportunity of having visited 85 countries, 70 of which, he had the privilege of preaching the glorious gospel. He has spoken at national conventions in at least a dozen countries, many of them predominantly Hindu, Buddhist, and Muslim countries.
Pastor Baker is marked by a passion for ministry, which has not waned since he experienced a radical conversion from drugs and alcohol. His vision for Grace Point is that we become a catalyst for the mightiest revival this region has ever witnessed.
Pastor Baker’s wife, Cheryl, has been his soul mate and partner in ministry for 41 years. Together, they have five children, three daughter in-laws, and seven grandchildren.
